West Maroon Pass connects Crested Butte to Aspen. This panorama shows the pass on the right with the Maroon Bells, two of Colorado's 14ers, rising in the distance. The trail from Crested Butte to Aspen is about 12.7 miles each way and provides beautiful views of the Elk Mountain Range. It begins/ends at Maroon Lake on the Aspen side and Schofield Pass on the Crested Butte side. In summer, the trail is usually lined with colorful wildflowers, as well.
This panorama is available in larger sizes, as well.
