Sunshine and Redcloud Traverse 2
Sunshine Peak near Lake City, Colorado
From the summit of Sunshine Peak (14,001’), this 14ers image looks back at Redcloud (14,034’) and the trail that leads from one peak to the other. A beautiful sky left us no worries about storms, though by the time we were back at the car around noon, the clouds had changed considerably. By the time we drove into Lake City, a deluge had ensued. I’m glad we were off the peaks. And it served as a reminder about why we starting hiking these peaks well before sunrise. Photo © copyright by Rob Greebon.
