Located in Serbin, Texas, St. Paul Lutheran Church is one of the famed Painted Churches of Texas. Located in the bucolic rolling hills near Bastrop, this small church was built in 1870 and is a gem of central Texas. Founded by the Wends of Germany who came to Texas in search of religious freedom as well as plentiful, fertile, and cheap land, St. Paul still serves its congregation with the tallest pulpit in Texas.
