The wildflowers along Trail Ridge Road in Rocky Mountain National park were so pretty I returned to photograph them under the glory of the Milky Way. I had to wait for a clear, calm night, which can be difficult to find at this altitude. Usually the wind is always blowing. For this night time image, I used a star tracker to allow a long exposure of the Milky Way. The foreground of sunflowers was taken separately - about 45 minutes after sunset with just enough light to show some details. The two images were later blended together to show what our eyes can see but the camera cannot capture with one indvidual image. Photo © copyright by Rob Greebon.
