This panorama taken along the Continental Divide Trail shows Mount Flora (13,146') as seen from the slopes of the Colorado Mines Peak near Berthoud Pass. The hike up to this point was nearly 2 miles and 1,500 vertical feet. From here, the CDT takes you about 300 feet down, then 1,000 feet back up to the distant peak. Landscape views such as this are abundant in Grand County, Colorado, and make for great day trips from Denver, Winter Park or the Fraser Valley.
