From Maroon Lake in the Maroon Bells Wilderness, ths is the Milky Way rising over this beautiful Colorado landscape around 3:45am on a perfect very early morning. With calm waters and winds, the reflection of the Maroon Bells, two of Colorado’s most photographed 14ers, shines in the still lake. The Milky Way was taken using a star tracker, thus allowing for an exposure of over three minutes to create a sharp, crisp image of the night sky. Photo © copyright by Rob Greebon.
