Maroon Bells Wilderness
An evening at Crater Lake in the shadow of the majestic Maroon Bells is a memory not soon forgotten. This beautiful location near Aspen and Snowmass, Colorado, is a few miles from the much more visited Maroon Lake. The trail from the parking lot passes Maroon Lake, winds through the wilderness area among aspen trees through meadows that bloom with wildflowers in the spring, and eventually leads to this quiet lake.
