Lake Dillon and Frisco under the Milky Way
Lake Dillon
This composite image of the Milky Way and Lake Dillon was shot in two segments. First, the foreground - Dillon Reservoir and Frisco - was shot before sunrise with just enough light to give definition to the trees, water, and town. The Milky Way was shot hours earlier using a star tracker. Later, the two images were blended together to show the entire vista as the stars stretched across the Colorado landscape.
