Western Slope of the Grand Mesa

The Grand Mesa rises over 11,000’ along the western slope of Colorado. From the lower elevatoins (around 5,000’), this view shows the mesa as it reaches into the cool summer morning air. The mesa covers over 500 square miles and is known as the largest flattop mountain in the world.
