This panorama from just outside of Fraser, Colorado, shows the iconic Byers Peak on a cold December morning. Rising from the Byers Peak Wilderness, this beautiful mountain rises nearly 13,000’ above the Fraser Valley. Only. miles away from this location is the Winter Park ski resort, full of crowds and skiiers. But here, the snow is pristine and the views amazing - with very little traffic. I’ve hiked Byers Peak several times, and the scenery from the top is breathtaking (as is the last push to the summit!)
