Betty Dick Barn Evening Panorama, RMNP 1
Rocky Mountain National Park
From Rocky Mountain National Park, this panorama shows the Betty Dick Barn, also known as the Little Buckaroo Barn, on a beautiful summer evening. Betty Dick and her husband lived on this land, Betty passing away last in 2006. The barn is found in the Kawuneeche Valley. While the first homesteaders arrived in the early 1900s, Native Americans hunted these fertile valleys for thousands of years before the white man’s arrival.
Now, the old barn is part of the National Register for Historic Places. It is mananged by the park service, and is located near Grand Lake on the west side of RMNP.
