2024 Solar Eclipse 2
Texas Hill Country
An event know as "Baily's Beads" shows up during the total eclipse of 2024. The bright white spot resembling a diamond is a point where the uneven terrain of the moon allows a ray of sunlight to pass over the moon and becomes visible to us folks here on Earth. Also, solar prominences, dense clouds of incandescent ionized gas can be seen projecting from the Sun's chromosphere into the corona. Photo © copyright by Rob Greebon.
