Vail resort sits at the base of Vail Mountains at just over 8,200' in elevation. This quaint village of Eagle County is nestled in the Gore Range, and summers here are heavenly. Fly-fishing, golf, festivals, and hiking are just some of the outdoor activities awaiting. Several of my favorite hikes head into the Gore Range, providing stunning views of the mountains and ski runs surrounding Vail. Trailheads just off of I-70 offer easy access for exploration to waterfalls, lakes and distant peaks.

This gallery is a work in progress, and I'm currently working through a summer's worth of images, including over a thousand RAW files from Eagle County showcasing trails, aspen trees, wildflowers and streams, and waterfalls.
